Monsieur Hulot has a grey away-day in the modern side of Paris and much Tati-ness ensues.

Monsieur Hulot, for those that don’t know, is the creation of film maker and mime-maestro Jacques Tati – a bit like Mr Bean but much funnier.


There is a film by Tati on The Big List, 'Monsieur Hulot's Holiday', but I watched that not long ago with my kids and my father (that along with 'Mon Oncle' is a regular when the three generations get together!). So instead I watched this masterpiece of mirthful modernism. Seriously, if you have never seen a film by Tati you really have to. Forget "lust for life" this is a "must for life!"
